Imagine That! is designed for energetic 3.5- to 5-year olds. For the pre-school child, every day is a new discovery waiting to happen. Imagine That! is the result of extensive research, parent focus groups and consultations with early childhood experts. Imagine That! teaches the whole child in a playful environment through a carefully integrated curriculum of music, singing, movement, literature, instrument exploration and pretend play.
Hello Weather, Let's Play Together!
Sunshine, clouds, snow, rain, wind and storms …Mother Nature offers so many variables. This unit takes advantage of those variables to provide your child with a myriad of creative, weather-related musical adventures. Imagine creating musical storm sounds with a drum and exploring the pitter patter of rain and the whoosh of the wind. Dance along with jingle bells while gliding along an imaginary ice pond or enjoy throwing pretend snowballs.
Musically speaking, children will explore the long, smooth sounds of legato and the short, quick sounds of staccato. They’ll learn about fast and slow tempos. Hello Weather, Let’s Play Together offers some favorite familiar songs, including Jingle Bells, Mulberry Bush and Over the River and Through the Wood.
Family sharing time takes place during the last 15 minutes of this 45 minute class.
Home materials include an Imagine That! backpack, two literature books, two CDs, two ankle bells, a rain shaker/guiro, a Home Activity book, and a play set with punch-outs for at-home storytelling and play.
Tuition and materials for a 15-week semester: $230
