Our Time is designed for children to meet weekly for a 45-minute class with an accompanying parent or caregiver. Our Time focuses on your child's healthy emotional development. Confidence, curiosity, self-control, and communication begin to take shape. Through instrument exploration, creative dance, listening, and stories, this curriculum encourages your child to be creative and to initiate his/her own ideas. Our Time recognizes your child's need for the freedom to explore and for the assurance of your support. He enjoys hands-on discovery of instruments, textures, sounds and movements. Language skills are fostered with singing and vocal play. Creative dancing to various musical moods affirms your child's natural desire to move. She discovers the joy of listening. Social skills blossom. And through Music & Movement Story Time, literacy skills are developed.
Fiddle-dee-dee
We'll meet many animal characters in our books, activities and songs - each specifically chosen for a toddler's emerging interests and physical skills. With silly, bumpy lap bounces we'll help toddlers develop rhythm while further developing their ever emerging language skills. With a special stringed instrument emphasis in the music from class, parents can bring home the violin, cello, and orchestra sounds to help their toddlers stay happy and engaged learners at home, too.
Home materials include: a Double CD featuring songs from class; two interactive storybooks - This Little Piggy Played the Fiddle and Animal Serenade to develop early literacy skills; Home Activity Book, and a pair of Fiddlestick instruments.
Tuition and Materials for the semester: $220
Our Time meets for 45 minutes once a week.
